Policy Proposals

Merge all the rules into the rule page

I suggest to merge all policies to the rule page to make it easier. Ismael Perez (Talk) 15:29, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

Remove the rule that says it can't be based

All alternate and future history is biased to some degree, and I don't see why it's wrong to for example write a page called Conservative UK Dystopia or What If Islam Ruled The World. So, we should remove this rule. DaneOfTheNorth (talk) 08:58, January 25, 2014 (UTC)

Definition of spam

The definition of spam is often varied depending on the person's ideology only that it involve links and repetitive words/phrases, so we should propose what we called "spam". Here's my definition of spam:

  1. Posting links to persuade or encourage users to visit the site.
  2. Writing repetitive text to provoke or disrupt.

What's your opinion on spam? Ismael Perez (talkcontribsblog) 00:03, May 14, 2014 (UTC)

Unwanted comercials, links and adverts for companys and selling stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whipsnade (talkcontribsblog) at 00:28,8/11/2022 (UTC)
Continuing to talk about a topic over and over again in an attempt to convert others to an ideology is also spam. DaneOfScandinavy (talk) 17:02, May 14, 2014 (UTC)
Well, talking about a topic multiple times isn't necessary spam (in my opinion), unless it is made to provoke others. Forcing an ideology isn't spam either, but not allowed. Ismael Perez (talkcontribsblog) 21:00, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

Alternate History Timelines with PODs before 1940

An alternate future history can be a timeline that has a point of divergence any time in the past, as long as the timeline takes place beyond our present. So I don't think the POD should be just since 1940 onwards. It can be a continuation of an alternate history timeline from AltHistory Wiki that goes into the future, since that wiki only allows timelines to go into the present.
