The Creation of the new Pan American Highway and Pan American Arterial Railway began in May 2031. It would stretch from the far south of Chilè to Nome, Alaska and to Thule Greenland. The USA's infrastructure and transportation were hit badly, thus it became fractured, as different sets of states went their separate ways, the West Coast split into two factions, the Northern Federation, and the South western Alliance. Florida and Arkansas soon declared independence, then the Deep South became the New CSA a few weeks later. The east coast collapsed because the USA did not want to deal with the tsunamis and so they left it. New Jersey and Delaware became a minor nation as the governors tried to sort things out locally on their own initiative.

The many regional and global conflicts would finally spark World War 3 in 2045!

Germany had the chance it was looking forward to, a chance to betray and conquer eastern France, Bavaria, Poland and then intimidate the rest of the EU in to folding up. France and Belgium soon fell despite of thire heroic and dogged resistance, but later Padania and Norway held out longer and Basque Republic did not fall at all. Indeed, even German poisoned gas failed to deter the Basques, many of whome died in the war! Nonetheless, Germany was still genocide Belgian, Bavaria and Poland after their fall in mid 2040. Over the 4 years of heavy the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Barbados, Turkey, Israle and USA finally freed France and Padania in 2044. As this happened Spain finally collapsed into rival, warring provinces and several French provinces like Normandy went there own way. Baden-Baden and Wurtemburg also dumped Germany and sued for peace in late 2044. 

Buoyed up on their success, the UK conquered Normandy for the hell of it and America began enter a period of militant nationalist paranoia with a still safe Argentina, Switzerland, Paraguay, Tonga, Malawi, the Maldive Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Cuba, China, Burkina Faso and Japan. Several KKK car-bombings also independently hit there capitals in late 2044 without government or public approval or knowledge!

A limited nuclear war took place in early 2045, destroying many military and political sites in Russia, America, India and China, along with a few military bases in Argentina, Germany, India, Pakistan, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Canada, North Korea, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Iran, Vietnam, the Philippines, Kazakhstan and the UK. Some places like Budapest, Baku and the Australian Mt. Isa mine complex were also hit on occasion

China blinked first and readied it's nukes. They planned a one off preemptive strike with a 21kt ICBM on the American satellite state of Guam, but the Russians decide to go crazy and needlessly flatted Budapest, Pittsburgh, the Vagas Strip and Cincinnati with 3 50kt ICBMs on each. Luckily the anti-missile-laser shot down the 2 100kt ICBMs that was heading for Pearl Harbor and LA while the ICBMs were still out at sea. Along side this a 1kt North Korean suitcase nuke was also inexplicably and needlessly detonated at the Mt Iza mining complex in Australia, causing much damage. This needless act would also help to aggravate the geo-military situation!

America hit back and got Zagorsk, the arms complex on Vozrozhdeniya Island in the Aral Sea and the Magadan Oblast missile silos each with a 40kt ICBM. A 70kt missile also hit the bigger Chita missile silos that were also stationed in eastern Siberia. Russian losses were also reduced when the anti-missile-missiles shot down a 2 70Kt ICBMs meant for St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Vladivostok while it was out at sea.

The UK and France used a 15kt bomb on Vladikavkaz, Murmansk navel base and Sevastopol navel base to help the USA against their common enemy. Israel also detonated a 1kt suitcase bomb in Beirut to help undermine the Hammas dominated regime.

The Russians then used a 15Kt bomb on RAF Filingdales and the San Rochelle shipyards.The long feared pan-global war began finely in early 2045, but a unrelated emergent narco-war in South America also resulted in multiple countries from around the world fighting for the de-facto control of Brazil! Later that year the USA (somehow and totally inexplicably) kept on losing all battles in the Pacific with the Chinese and N. Koreans due to the ever unpredictable weather in the region, plus the ever present confusion caused as endless rebellions started popping up everywhere there was an inter-ethnic grievance brewing in Russia and the Ukraine! All European and Russian national frontiers were very unstable at this time and regularly changed on a small, localized scale every few months! Indeed, America, France, Serbia, Germany and Russia spent more time fighting over Hungary that year than on anything else, with the exsption of arms and pesticide production.

The Netherlands blew it's dykes around many of it's polders and hid in the western remnants of the polderland, fighting Germany all the way. Taking note of the situation, some neutral states prepared for the worse, with the mountainous nation of Switzerland acting fast to hold out as did the quickly fortified micro-nations like Monaco. China's government also computer virusesed Tesco’s and Wallmart's corporate computers. China then hacks the USA and stole loads of industrial secrets. China also takes some military secrets and security data about Ukraine, which it shares with Russia and India. America retaliates in kind against China and shairs the data with Canada, Mexico, France Australia, Japan, the UK and NZ. then also hack Brazil, Venezuela and India out of hawkish paranoia. 

Through out the year, the Russia sacrificed many of it's prized armored divisions whilst they built a huge and EU mine field, burm and tank pit complexes across the Russian Federation, it contained Stalingrad, Leningrad, Krasnodar and Moscow. Desperate Russian troops invaded and took south western Alaska in the September of the year, and thus utterly destroy the west of the state, whilst the USA ignored the Alaskan pleas for help for several weeks, save for chucking 5 15kt nukes on to the Russian held south western coastline and a 40kt nuke onto the Amur ICBM silos. This gave rise to the right wing rebels of the Alaskan Independence Movement in the December of that year.

It finally came to an end when China carried out it's threat and nuked Guam as well as using another 20kt ICBM to bow USAF Subic Bay, in the Philippines. They had wanted to bast it to to matchwood as well, but never officially declared this to the west! Every one then waited for about a month or so and then finished each other of as military and economic powers in the atomic hell called WW3 after a 0.5kt Serbian suitcase nuke pointlessly and needlessly blew up in a popular Ankara mosque.

Most Vietnamese coastal radio towers and rice silos had survived with minor damage as they were already hardened against hurricanes and the flooding did not reach high or far enough to destroy much.

The Kerch Strait is choked with debris and wreckage. 1,145 died, 5,328 were injected, 7,500 went missing and 12,000 were unhoused in the event! Several smaller meteors hit elsewhere. China stationed loads of nukes in the Amur Oblast, which was alredy infested   with Russian ones. Russia dropped a 15kt nuke on Taipei and Bangkok in 2207, killing thousands. Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and Tanzania all coplained to the UN, who officially condemed the nukeings.

Japan was an rural and insular nation off the rapidly flooding east coast of Asia that was being subverted by Chinese (Taiwanese) and pseudo-Japanese nationalists in the 2210's. They ruled with an iron fist from 2220 to 2230, but in 2230 the Japanese revolted against the Taiwanese stooges with control of much of the Japanese home Islands, and asserted themselves as a nation again, under the name of the Harmonious and Heroic Empire of Japan. During the same period, the emperor was supposedly, but in reality held little power as the Japanese were divided into towns, professions or families, the heads of which held the real power. The Japanese military was very inconsistent and no national army exists. However, the emperor created a small army of 1,200 elite troops taken from many Japanese families, towns and firms during 2021, by offering them money like a mercenary force who are not very effective for the moment. The actual force that the emperor counts on for security is the corporate armies who’s firms were promised advantage if they prove themselves useful.

Military forces begin relief effort for Brazil's flooded northern coastal cities after an unusually strong typhoon hit a 40 mile zone around Recife in the October of 2222. The food riots are quelled within a few weeks when armed riot police deal with the situation, but kill 52 protesters in a Recife gun massacre. Humanitarian aid also came from a resurgent USA, NZ, Siberian SSR, Russian Democratic Republic, France, England, Japan, Hungary, S. Africa, Peru and Germany.

After several dozen major floods and typhoons had hit southern China and Taiwan they began to rapidly decay between 2228 and 2235. C.P.C. and corporate corruption was also beginning to grow in Shanghai to everyone's disgust. Food Riots had occurred some towns and villages of the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in the March and May of 2230.

The Fist Chinese Civil War was spawned, in part, by both the political unrest brought on by 2 years of rising sea levels and the brutal crackdown following the pro-democracy Wuhan Car Factory Massacre of 2230. The military of China fractured, with two of the chief generals turning against the Politburo of the pro-Hu Jintao C.P.C's Beijing-Shanghai factional government. While the parties in the war were globally viewed as either Chinese Nationalist, Islamist, Pro-Democratic, Tibetan Nationalist, Maoist and Reformed Chinese Communist; important changes only came to the military and political balance of power when the Republic of China (Taiwan) got officially involved in the hostilities after the Chinese Blockade of Hong Kong and the invasion the Coastal Fujian Republic took place in the May of 2238. 

After the first year of hostilities, Chinese C.P.C.'s pro-Hu Jintao factional government accepted a cease-fire with the pro-Taiwanese rebel commanders in coastal Fujian, but the wider world only knew of coastal Fujian as newly created and needed an Autonomous Region. Coastal Fujian continued to actively seek international recognition as an independent nation called the Coastal Fujian Republic. While China maintained the pretense that all was well, the tentative cease-fire with coastal Fujian did not end the hatred that had caused the Civil War, which continued with the troubles in the East and South of the nation.

It then chaotically imploded in to the bloody Second Chinese Civil War which started with the 2235 pro-democracy revolution by student and farmers living in Wuhan rebelled against communist party rule. As the only leading world power, the United States had sworn a hard-line against the Chines. When the war broke out in 2235, the US initially did nothing about it and only offered minimal help to the Philippines, Mongolia, Vietnam and Thailand in 2240.  

A war divided and devastated the nation the government began to collapse due to factional infighting and ideological paranoia. A mixture of sworn party loyalists, the remaining non-mutinous troops and the more enlightened members of the regional C.P.C. leadership retreated to the recently built, but rather small, strategic bunkers placed the mountains, beside Lake Jingpo, the town of Ürümqi, the city of Chongqing and in a few tactically important places among the Great Hinging Mountains, along Mudanjiang River, the upper reaches of Yellow River, the Fen River and the Wei River.

The Philippines began sending humanitarian aid to Wuhan's rebels in the January of 2241. The Pope and UN Secretary General called for World peace that Christmas and a special Vatican mas and UN summit were held a few days later held. 

The county-level city of Wǔzhǐshān in the south-central part of Hainan Island had also gone rogue in the June of 2242, and had held out successfully against the forces of the C.P.C. and the pro-C.P.C. Hǎikǒu-Wénchāng Republic was formed out of the loyal Hǎikǒu Shì county level city and the loyal Wénchāng Shì county. Japan, who was more technologically modernized, was aware that was investing heavily in China's rice industry, but still did not show much respect for Chinese laws or customs and was thus banned from doing business in the People's Republic. Both this, and Japan's re-emergent superiority complex and desire for territorial expansion led to the declaration of war in 2258 on the People's Republic of China and Korea soon thereafter. Dalian, Harbin, Pusan, Seoul and Pyongyang were taken quickly and the Japanese war machine spread quickly. The Great Sino-Japanese War would be a major 20 year war fought by Japan in China, Taiwan and Korea. Japan had long desired northern Chinese territory in Manchuria and Korea! The country's rapid industrialization and militarization under the slogan, “Enrich the country, enlighten your mind and strengthen the army”, led to its emergence as a world power eventually culminating in the conquest of a large part of the 50 year Asia-Pacific region. Firms such as Mitsui, Hitachi and Mitsubishi become the mainstay of the imperial economy. The Japanese, now bordering Russian and Alaska in the far north, began to take an interest in Siberia, the Commander Islands, The Aleutians, and Kamchatka.

The racily based Japanese invasion of Sakhalin Island, Thailand and Vietnam occurred on 14 December 2044, 2245 and 2247 respectively. Darwin and Jataka fell late the next year. as with All Japaneses campaigns victory was insured with in a mater of days.

On the home front many Japanese Buddhists and human-rights activists tried to hold massive anti-war protests, but retribution was swift, leading to the crushing of almost all progressives that were felt too or decadent be weak and liberal, and thus threat to militarism and State-Shintoism, which was being promoted at the time.
