The Berlin wall which divided East and West Germany was torn down in 2005 after decades of political turmoil in the world as a result of a nuclear war 1982. Prior to the nuclear war tensions between two Germanys were easing. However as a result of the nuclear destruction and collapse of Argentina and the UK there was massive political turmoil and United Nations struggled to deal with the consequences. There was massive food riots in Berlin in 1984 as a result of food shortages caused by the nuclear annihilation of the UK and Argentina which provided these two nations with food. There's also a massive power vacuum in the Soviet Union and the United States continued increasing tensions as a result of the power vacuum caused by the contamination of northern Europe and South America. The Soviet Union blamed the destruction of Argentina on United States and the United States blamed instruction of the UK on the Soviet Union. Tensions erupted in 1999 and at a second nuclear war was only barely averted. Tensions in the region are extremely fragile and little effort was made to reunite Germany. Eventually 2005 the nation was reunited and became known as the Democratic Republic of Germany and became a major economic power by 2010. As a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 2007.
