George Bush, Junior was the unsuccessful alcoholic son of President Bush. George Bush never entered politics and was a drunk who lived most of his life in Austin, Texas. He tragically died in a car crash in 2001. The car crash was caused by his drinking and driving. His father was devastated at the loss of his son and led to the George Bush foundation for the elimination of drunk driving which was founded in 2003 to prevent a senseless tragedy from happening again. By 2007, the George Bush foundation had already raised $28 million for the reduction of drunk driving and legislation that implemented harsh penalties for drinking driving. A telethon for the George Bush foundation also premiered on the Dumont Network in 2008. The George Bush foundation telethon raised awareness for driving and the belief that the Dumont Network was a caring Corporation, not a faceless monster.
