Nairobi Island (lunar destruction)

this was a Nigerian colony that was founded on the planet Mars in 2145. It started out as a landlocked colony that was home to the people of West Africa especially the population of people from the former country of Nigeria which once existed on the planet Earth. In the 45th century when terraforming was completed the Nairobi colony became an island with with a large reserve inhabited by African animals that were preserved in a in a gene bank. This island became extremely popular and became of the most popular island nations on the planet Mars. Eventually a series of artificial islands were built around Nairobi Island beginning in 4629. Eventually this island chain was renamed the Nairobi Archipelago in 5588 . Nairobi colony was also established on the planet Earth in 6666 however was quickly abandoned due to hostile conditions.
