After the closing of Dumont world in 2009 the reconstruction of Brooklyn began. The US government because they were financial troubles could not afford to rebuild the neighborhood. However the Brooklyn rebuilding fund which was an international effort funded by the United Nations raise money to rebuild the statement. Construction of the rebuilt Brooklyn began and by 2019 Brooklyn was reconstructed and became known as new Brooklyn. There was also a memorial created for the victims of 12/10.
