2016 - Dutertes First Year[]

The president was true to his word and was able to fulfill his promise on lowering crime and corruption in less than 6 months, by creating the implementing the program "LVM24S Rule" (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao 24 Hours Safety Rule) which advises all major urban areas in the Philippines to have CCTVs and adopt the centralized 911 emergency call system. The minimum pay for policemen have also increased, and the structure of Philippine National Police has been reorganized. The populace has favorable views on the government and the trust for the authorities are slowly returning. The International Community has also praised the new administration for their work on developing a centralized emergency system, the first in Asia. However, several human rights organization still question the governments actions.

2017 - Year of Regional Growth[]

With the restructuring of the Philippine police, increase in their wages, and a centralized emergency call system, the Philippines is now a country attracting foreign investors. Duterte used this opportunity to develop areas outside Metro Manila, like Laoag, Vigan, Cebu, Puerto Princesa, Legazpi, Davao, and many more cities. This led to the creation of jobs for construction workers and other technical related occupations. It also widely decongested Metro Manila. By the end of the year, several urban centers dot the entire archipelago. Air transport has also increased as several airports are now being built all over the country. By the end of the year, the Philippines has been urbanized and the wealth of the country is no longer concentrated in Manila.

2018 (January - June) - Move to Federalism[]

The Philippines is now a growing power in the ASEAN region, and is now a competitor on the world stage. However, it took the world by surprise when the president Duterte has proposed that the 1986 constitution be replaced by a constitution that promotes federalism. Several protests in Metro Manila occurred, saying no to the proposal of the government. Meanwhile, rallies were also held by the supporters of the government in other cities, as well as those in Metro Manila. Some confrontations led to violence, and at least one was killed on the opposition side. Then on March, a referendum was drafted, to see if the public wanted to adopt a federalist government.
