The city of Miami was a former American city in the former state of Florida. That was an extremely popular tourist destination in the 20th and early 21st century. The city was extremely popular and well-known for its Cuban food, Art Deco architecture and tropical weather. However in the 2030s the city began to experience devastating hurricanes in the sea levels gradually infiltrated the city. By 2045 sea level rises so bad the city of Miami that was largely abandoned. By 2065 a most entire city was underwater along with the rest of the state of Florida. The small islands that were remaining became known as the Miami exclusion zone. This zone was a series of slums that were ruled by brutal druglords and the Cuban Mafia. Eventually a series of artificial islands were built around the Miami exclusion zone by 2085. The Miami exclusion zone officially became known as the city of new Miami by by 2125 however it still at a high crime rate and the highest murder rate in the United States. By the 26 century new Miami was extremely powerful and popular mega-city that attracted tourists from all over the world. Artificial beaches were also created to mimic the waterfront that the city once had. New Art Deco architecture were also was also built that mimic the historical style of the previous city. A museum of Cuban culture was also built in 2300 to commemorate the island of Cuba which was devastated by sealevel rise and hurricanes in the late 21st century and early 22nd century.
