his was a mass shooting that occurred on September 8, 2079. Over 150 people were killed in this massacre including renowned philanthropist and founder of the Syrian Museum of art and culture Jedediah Simpson was killed. Along with civil rights leader  Damien Blackwell who fought for transgender rights and the ban on transgender troops serving in the US military in 2061. This was United States deadliest shooting in more than 25 years. This massacre and the major loss of life finally led to the implementation of common sense gun control in the United States. The NRA could no longer argue that guns were not the problem. By 2083 assault rifles were banned and a number of US shootings drastically reduced. It was impressive but the US government finally implement gun control but so many people were angry that took such a terrible massacre to lead to this obvious commonsense solution. In 2179 the city of New York City commemorated the hundredth anniversary of the Times Square massacre that killed something innocent people.
