The province of Jakarta (Singaporeworld)

Jakarta became a province of Singapore in 2122 this was the first of many land acquisitions Singapore made in the 22nd and 23rd centuries. Jakarta quickly became a major center of commerce and the source for agriculture for the Singaporean mainland. The most successful product was sugarcane which by then was a major source of fuel in Southeast Asia and further the economic growth of Singapore. Jakarta was the first of many South Asian islands to become part of Singapore. Sri Lanka became part of Singapore in 2300 however by then much of the island has been ravaged by famine and environmental disaster. Despite this, the government of Singapore rebuilt the economy in Sri Lanka and creating an elaborate network of seawalls protected from further flooding.
