The siege of Washington DC (Second Amendment Civil War)

On January 31, 2052, there was a series of drone strikes in Washington DC that led to the deaths of 3 million people. The drone strikes were committed by the Confederacy of patriotic states and it was part of a larger battle known as the siege of Washington. This was one of the deadliest battles of the second Civil War. In the process, the capital building was completely destroyed wiping out most of Congress. The Smithsonian Museum of natural history, as well as the capital building, were also destroyed. These buildings were all rebuilt by the American Parliament in the 2060s. During this battle, black areas were heavily targeted and most of Georgetown was completely destroyed. This was the most devastating attack on the US capital's 9/11 and change the city's makeup forever. By 2070 however the city was mostly recovered most and most of the rebuilding had been achieved. However, the ruins of Georgetown became a memorial to the second American Civil War.
