The twin towers were two buildings in New York City they completely lost electricity in 2000. These buildings were largely abandoned because they were no longer in use. The buildings remain largely abandoned until 2004. On March 1, 2004, a local engineer Jason Luther created an elevator that did not need electricity. This enabled these buildings to be occupied. In 2005 the first few floors were converted into vertical farms to provide food for the people of Manhattan. A water filtration system has also established the building. The higher levels were residential apartments for the wealthy Royals of Manhattan. The upper floor was also converted into a green roof that provided more food for people that have. The twin towers became known as the twin tower's agricultural project in 2006. By 2007 the twin towers were home to the wealthy elite of Manhattan.
